Yesterday. I wasn’t feeling well. Then – without me sharing that – I suddenly get a text conversation from an amazing friend. God knew. To get past not feeling good. I needed worship. A great worship song. And God touched Aaron to send me Cece’s song. Such perfect timing. As I felt like simply laying on the couch. Once I received this. I was able to play it – eyes closed. And begin the celebration of what this song says. What it tells me. What it tells you. “Your mercy never fails”. “All my life you’ve been faithful”. The truth this song brings to all of us is real. We all can experience this. No matter what I go through. No matter what you go through. God is beside me. Beside us. Always faithful. Always loving. I can look back on what I though were the darkest days of my life. Divorce. Losing my grandfather. Hearing I had cancer and 5 years left to live. Losing my father. And God never ran. Never said “I’ll be right back”. Never said “This might be too big for me”. Nope. Always there. Always ready. Always strong. God guided. God carried, when needed. And God never, never failed. He let me cry as he “hugged me”. Then his almighty hand gently extended a finger and dried those tears. And led me forward. Drew the pain unto Himself so my suffering would be less. We have a God that is all this – and more. Everything we need. Here. And now. So let’s grab it. Accept it. Love it.
